These Principles represent policing’s commitment to our people, to their health and wellbeing and to the safety of the communities we serve.
Context: A safe and supportive workplace actively seeks to minimise psychosocial risks and hazards and proactively responds to support people in need. A mentally healthy workplace is one that promotes a positive culture toward health and wellbeing in an environment free of stigma and discrimination. We recognise that policing comes with inherent physical, emotional, and psychosocial risks. However, we are committed to providing a safe and supportive workplace where integrated wellbeing is valued and prioritised.
