The Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA) has developed a trust framework to support a common understanding of trust in police for Australian and New Zealand jurisdictions.
During the COVID-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter protest movements, the world has been watching policing’s response. Trust and confidence in policing is critical during these rapidly evolving and complex events.
ANZPAA's Four Dimensions of Trust can be used to mitigate the risk of
losing trust and to identify areas where it might be accentuated. It provides police with a tool to maintain and build trust and to consider the implications of major events or incidents on their relationship with the community.
ANZPAA is an advisory agency. If you have a policing matter or an emergency please contact 000, or your local police station
