Instructions for External Users Accessing the ANZPAA M365 Resources
1. If you are invited to access a file or folder, you will receive one of the following:
a)
A direct link from the person inviting you — simply click the link provided, or
b)
An invitation email (depending on how the item has been shared), as illustrated in the screenshots below. Click the buttons highlighted in red to proceed.

Email verification (if prompted): If prompted, enter your email address, select Next, then select Send code.

Check your email for the verification code, enter it on the screen, and select Verify

4. If you have previously accessed ANZPAA resources and multi-factor authentication (MFA) is already configured, you may be able to sign in using your work email and password, then approve the MFA prompt.
5. If this is your first time accessing the ANZPAA Microsoft 365 environment, you will be guided through the setup of multi-factor authentication (MFA) after signing in.
6. Review and accept the agreement, then select Accept, followed by Next. You will then be prompted to begin the MFA setup process. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Select Accept and then select Next.
Method 1: Using Mobile Phone Verification (Without Microsoft Authenticator)
1.
If you prefer not to use the Microsoft Authenticator app, select Other options, select Next and then choose Phone, and select Next again.
2.
Select your country code, enter your mobile phone number, then select Next to receive a verification code.
3.
Microsoft will send a six-digit code to your mobile phone.
4.
Enter the code and select Next to verify.

5. Once verification is complete, select Done and you will able to access the required information.
Note: During setup, you may be prompted to register the Authenticator app (Method 2) in addition to SMS verification. Sometimes Microsoft may require both methods, so you should complete Method 2 as well. Follow the prompts carefully to complete registration.
Method 2 – Using the Microsoft Authenticator App
1.
When prompted to set up Multi-Factor Authentication using App, select Next.
2.
On your mobile device, download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app from:
a.
Apple App Store (iPhone), or
b.
Google Play Store (Android).
3.
Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone.
4.
Select Add account ( + ), then choose Work or school account and Select Scan QR code
4.
Select Add account ( + ), then choose Work or school account and Select Scan QR code


5.
On your computer screen, select Next.
6.
A QR code will appear.

7. Use the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone to scan the QR code displayed on your screen.
8. Once the QR code is scanned, your account will be added to the app.
9. Microsoft will send a test notification to the app.

10. Approve the notification on your phone or enter the given code
11. Select Done to complete the setup.

12. You will now receive another prompt on your phone to enter the code available on your computer screen.

13. Once done, you will now be able to sign in using your email and approve sign-in requests through the Microsoft Authenticator app and access relevant content.
Accessing linked Teams Channel/Chat
1. If a Microsoft Teams channel is linked to a SharePoint site that you’ve been granted access to, please allow 10–20 minutes for your account to be provisioned before attempting to access it.
2. A new ANZPAA tenant will appear in the top-right corner of the Microsoft Teams app. You may need to restart the app to see it. Click on ANZPAA to access the team and its associated channels.
