ANZPAA Announces Carl McLennan as new Chief Executive Officer

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Carl McLennan as the new Chief Executive Officer of ANZPAA.

Carl has been acting in the role since June and has brought with him a wealth of policing knowledge, exceptional leadership, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to both the ANZPAA team and our stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to his time at ANZPAA, Carl has held senior roles with New Zealand Police including as an Acting Assistant Commissioner, and Senior Liaison Officer to Australia. He has also served as Executive Director of the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police Secretariat.

His permanent appointment marks an important and positive step forward for ANZPAA. With a deep understanding of our culture and the broader policing landscape, Carl is ideally placed to lead the agency and deliver on the ANZPAA Strategy 2025–30.
