Operating under a Service Level Agreement, NIFS is guided by the Australia New Zealand Forensic Executive Committee (ANZFEC). ANZFEC members help shape the NIFS three-year strategic plan and approves its annual business plan. The ANZPAA Board approve the final strategic plan, and program budget, ensuring the work of NIFS complements the broader policing landscape.
Our Committee
ANZFEC comprises the ANZPAA CEO, NIFS Director and the leaders of 19 forensic science service providers across Australia and New Zealand, who share a desire to work across jurisdictions to deliver high quality and operationally relevant forensic science service to police, the criminal justice system, victims of crime and the community.
Our Collaborations
NIFS maintains strong strategic partnerships with policing and other law enforcement agencies, standards agencies, accreditation organisations, academia, the judiciary, and the international forensic community.
