National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA)

nata-logoNATA's role is to serve the national and public interest by ensuring that member facilities comply with relevant international and Australian standards and so are competent to provide consistently reliable testing, calibration, measurement and inspection data to government, industry and the wider community. NATA provides independent assurance of technical competence through a network of best practice industry experts.

The forensic science community through ANZPAA NIFS and SMANZFL partnered with NATA to develop a forensic science accreditation program. The primary international standard for this program is ISO/IEC 17025.
