ANZPAA NIFS and ANZFEC are pleased to represent the Australia New Zealand government forensic science provider community on the International Forensic Strategic Alliance (IFSA). IFSA is a multilateral partnership between regional networks of operational forensic laboratories across the globe. More information about IFSA and its member organisations and strategic partners can be found at https://www.ifsa-forensics.org
Importantly, IFSA has been developing minimum requirements documents (MRDs) for emerging nations. The purpose of these MRDs are to establish a baseline or starting point in order to achieve reliable results. These documents describe the minimum requirements for various forensic disciplines including Drug Analysis, DNA and Crime Scene. Further MRDs for Document Examination, Fingerprints, Digital and Multimedia Evidence and Toxicology are in development. For access to the MRDs see https://www.ifsa-forensics.org/minimum-requirements-documents
