Australia New Zealand Police Commissioners Forum (ANZPCF)
The Australia New Zealand Police Commissioners’ Forum (ANZPCF), formerly known as the Police Commissioners’ Forum (PCC), or the Forum of Commissioners of Police of Australasia and the South-West Pacific Region, dates back to the early 1900’s following the establishment of the Commonwealth of Australia.
Role
The role of the ANZPCF is to provide a mechanism for Police Commissioners from Australia and New Zealand to meet exclusively and:
- develop their strategic agenda
- identify and progress areas of business for improving the operation and practice of policing
- create opportunities for cooperation and collaboration between all jurisdictions and other agencies (including academic institutions) whenever possible and where relevant
- keep informed of international developments in the key strategic and business areas
- influence and advocate at the State/Territory and Australia New Zealand National level when necessary
- extend the Forum, as required, to other ranks within their jurisdictions in order to professionally develop a cadre of future leaders.
