ANZPAA Forensic Accounting Committee (AFAC)

In 2009 the Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA) established the ANZPAA Forensic Accounting Committee (ANZPAA FAC), which reports to the ANZPAA Crime Forum. The ANZPAA FAC is comprised of senior managers and financial/forensic investigators from police agencies in each jurisdiction and a representative from the Australian Crime Commission. 

ANZPAA FAC was established to encourage communication, understanding and sharing of expertise and promote a cooperative approach to forensic accounting issues between participating police services. ANZPAA FAC is responsible for developing Australian and New Zealand standards in forensic accounting management and providing support to agencies, commissions and departments in the implementation of the standards.
