The Australian forensic standards framework (AS 5388 Pts 1-4) consists of core standards that provide a comprehensive matrix and are applicable to the majority of forensic science disciplines. These core standards cover universal aspects of forensic science, namely (Pt 1) collection of forensic material (Pt 2) examination techniques (Pt 3) interpretation of results and (Pt 4) reporting findings. This poster describes the formulation of the two core standards concerned with Interpretation (Pt 3) and Reporting (Pt 4) in forensic science.
