Centres of Specialisation

Section Menu

The Centres of Specialisation (CoS) in forensic Science Program aims to deliver a pragmatic and cost-effective model for rationalising specialised forensic services provision across Australia and New Zealand. The CoS Program aims to support the ability of specialist services to realise appropriate 'cross-border' economies of scale, by recognising and linking existing Australian and New Zealand forensic science service providers, and building the 'critical mass' required to operate and maintain specialised capabilities.

For those agencies who would like to be recognised as a 'Centre of Specialisation' (CoS) by ANZPAA NIFS, please refer to application details in the Centres of Specialisation Framework document located under 'Resources'. The CoS status would be held and maintained between the host agency and ANZPAA NIFS, as an informal, legally non-binding agreement. Please note there is no specific funding available through the CoS Program.
