ANZPAA NIFS created this Award in 2009, in memory of Hon. Professor John Harber Phillips achievements and to demonstrate our commitment to supporting, fostering and promoting the advancement of forensic sciences in Australia and New Zealand.

 

Awarded annually, the Award serves to promote, recognise and reward an individual’s outstanding contributions to the advancement of forensic science in Australia and New Zealand. The Award is the most prestigious award that can be given to an Australian and New Zealand citizen in the field of forensic sciences.

 

The Award values outstanding contributions in one or all these areas:
• Research and publications in peer reviewed journals
• Technical skills
• Teaching and/or mentoring
• Leadership in the forensic sciences
• Innovations and improvements to process
