Government funding ANZPAA NIFS forensic standards project
28/07/2010 9:14:10 AMHome Affairs Minister Brendan O'Connor announced that the federal government will fund an ANZPAA NIFS project to develop national forensic testing standards.
ANZPAA NIFS will devise the standards and their implementation in co-operation with experts from federal, state and territory forensic facilities.
The national standards will mean that consistent practices will be applied to the collection, preservation, analysis and reporting of forensic information to ensure the most accurate results.
